Custom Tile - Echo Collection Custom Cement Tiles
The Echo Collection provides numerous ways to create your own custom cement tile. Much of this flexibility comes from the fact that each Echo Collection cement tile is hand poured. (To fully understand the production process, we recommend watching our 3-minute video "Granada Tile Revives the Fine Art of Making Cement Tile.") Here are four ways to customize your Echo Collection tile:
1. Change the location of colors to create your own custom cement tile: You may have found a design of ours you like and you may even like our sample colors. However, you might prefer to move the colors around to emphasize a different design element. You can do this right from the Interactive Echo Collection Catalog.
2. Pick a new set of colors from the standard color palette to create a custom concrete tile: You may have found a design you like, but decide you want a different set of colors from the one on the screen. Experiment with the customization tool in the Interactive Echo Collection Catalog to see if you can find the right combination using our 32 Standard Colors. Since screen colors are never the same as the real thing, we offer an Echo Collection Deluxe Color Palette Box for free plus shipping.
3. Choose new, custom colors for your Echo Collection cement tile design: Just can’t find the colors you wanted? Show us what you had in mind and we will experiment and run tests. We have had great success with most color matching, but there are certain colors or shades that we are not able to achieve with the available pigments. Note that color matching generally carries an added cost and takes time. Please plan ahead.
4. Choose a new custom design for your custom cement tile: We offer over 140 tile designs to choose from, with more added frequently. However, if you want to create a new design or have us replicate a historic design, we can definitely do that. Each new design mold is made from carefully bent and welded metal, with special supports so the mold does not loose its shape with use. A new custom design mold begins with a precise drawing of the design. The space between lines must be at least .12 inches (3 mm) to enable the pigmented cement to flow to that area. We’ll be happy to work with you to adapt your custom cement tile design to our production process.
