House Beautiful October 2014The great news just hasn’t stopped for us at Granada Tile this year. You’ll recall that our sensational cement tile designs have appeared in the pages of pretty much every major home-design publication—from Architectural Digest to Dwell and lots in between. It’s a testament to just how versatile out tile designs our, appealing to modern, contemporary and traditional design-lovers alike. We’re thrilled to report that we just got word that our concrete tiles are appearing in print once again. This time around, our concrete tiles are in House Beautiful, which just happens to be one of our favorite home-design magazines! Wait till you see this project—they’re in the magazine’s Bath of the Month, a glorious, light-filled space designed by Deirdre Doherty in a Los Angeles Spanish Revival house.House Beautiful October 2013As the story says, the space blends a traditional feel with industrial elements. The end result is a chic, inspired bathroom that seems totally contemporary. We love the clawfoot tub that serves as the room’s centerpiece and how it carries the black and white theme through. The faucets and fixtures add more of a traditional vibe as does the sink. Another great element  the great storage flanking and above the sink is wonderful too—a ledge and inset open shelving that tweak typical bathroom storage ideas. Tempering it all are the shower doors that feature an industrial look adding a bit of edge to the look. Into all of this, our cement floor tiles in our Cluny pattern fit in perfectly with their crisp black and white palette Doherty selected for the room and serve as a strong counterpoint to the white subway tiles that line the walls. It also provides a bit of softness to the space with its more curvilinear design, offsetting some of the harder edges found. It’s another inspired project and a testament to the fabulous versatility of Granada Tile. [subscribe2]
