Cement tile isn't just for kitchens, bathrooms and terraces. Our client Adrienne Sams used Granada Tile's Cluny cement tile to cover a fireplace installation. Tile photo courtesy Adrienne Sams.

As we saw Melanie mention in her interview with She Knows Home & Garden last week, Cluny is one of the hot tickets from Granada Tile. It has been flying off the shelves, with our clients using it for tile back splashes, floor tiles and more. Today, we’re delighted to show you a cement tile installation that falls into the “and more” category. Now it might be a little incongruous, given that today is June 2, to be sharing a concrete tile installation on a fireplace but bear with us. When our client, Adrienne Sams, of Dallas-based Smalls & Interiors, sent this in, we were too excited to keep it under our hats until the weather got colder.

As you can see, cement tile makes a fabulous statement. Adrienne chose our Cluny cement tile design and used it to entirely frame the fireplace, taking the concrete tiles down to the floor and up to the ceiling, creating not just a smashing fireplace but also giving her clients a knockout accent wall in the process. The graphic black-and-white palette she chose for the concrete tile installation works perfectly with the soft gray on the walls and the rich, warm brown of the hardwood floor. We know summer’s just a few weeks away, but it’s never too early to start thinking about a cement tile installation to warm up your winter. Take a look at our tile installation pages for some great fireplaces featuring cement tiles. There’s also a fabulous project featuring an outdoor fire pit covered in our Serengeti tile design. It’s another chic and surprising use for our oh-so-versatile concrete tile.
