Cement Wall Tiles
Cement tiles are one of the hottest interior design products right now, and for good reasons. You probably already know they are incredibly stylish and sophisticated, but you may not know that they are almost unmatched when it comes to durability, strength, and versatility. They can be used in just about any setting, and one of the top trending ways to use them is on walls.
If you’ve been looking for a stylish and practical option for updating a bathroom, or adding a feature wall in your living room, learn about why concrete wall tiles are the perfect solution.
What Are Cement Tiles?
Cement tiles are made from a mixture of concrete, powdered marble, sand, and color pigment that is poured into a mold shape and then compressed under 2,000 pounds of pressure. The design options are virtually limitless with cement tiles, and once you choose one that you fall in love with, you’ll be able to enjoy it for many years to come because concrete tiles are very durable and highly resistant to fading, wearing, and scratching.
The Difference Between Cement Tiles and Ceramic Tiles
Unlike ceramic tiles, cement tiles aren’t made with paint and glaze and fired under a heated kiln. While ceramic tiles have a design that is applied to the surface, and can wear away over time, concrete tiles are made with the colors and pattern as a solid part of the tile itself. This is what makes concrete tile so much more durable and longer lasting than ceramic tiles, and a great practical option for everyday living.
The Benefits of Concrete Tiles for Walls
The benefits of cement tiles extend far beyond just their durability. They are also water-resistant, scratch-resistant, and fade-resistant, which makes them the best concrete tiles for walls at home or in your commercial space.
If you’ve been searching for the best product for your new home, business, or renovation, here are a few reasons why concrete wall tiles are the best option:
- Cement wall tiles will withstand splashes in the bathroom and shower
- They will hold up to water, food, and heat in the kitchen
- Wall concrete tiles will create a beautiful, long-lasting wall mural that looks like new for years to come
Ways to Use Wall Concrete Tiles
One of the qualities of concrete wall tiles that consumers love most is their versatility. Use various designs, patterns, and colors within the same hue family around the spaces in your home to create a look that’s one-of-a-kind and cohesive.
Here are some of the ways you can use concrete tiles for walls in your home or business:
Create a stunning floor-to-ceiling cement tile shower
Cement tiles can withstand water and mold damage beautifully, and keep their like-new appearance. Use solid color cement tiles in square or classic subway to create a modern spa-like shower. Choose a bold geometric patterned cement shower wall tile to give your bathroom a focal point.
Tile the walls in a guest or master bathroom
You can have a lush spa in your own master bedroom, or give guests a luxurious powder room experience with gorgeous cement bathroom wall tiles, in a serene color palette. Tile floor to ceiling in the same tile shape and color for a spa look and feel, give your bathroom a wow factor with a funky pattern, or tile halfway up the wall to create bathroom-friendly wainscoting.
Use cement wall tiles on your kitchen backsplash
Just about every kitchen has a tile backsplash. Make yours stand out with ultra stylish concrete wall tiles in a trendy geometric pattern, Moroccan-inspired design, or traditional Moorish pattern.
Extend the backsplash tile to the rest of the kitchen
Extending the cement tile from the backsplash to the rest of the kitchen walls will give your kitchen a total aesthetic upgrade and create a look that is both modern and “wow.” Using the same tile design in a pattern will deliver a striking feature kitchen, while using the same single-colored kitchen wall tiles will look fresh and clean. Using two different colored and patterned tiles can provide any look you want—modern and minimalistic, traditional and elegant, or funky and eclectic.
Create a feature wall in a living or dining room
Use cement tiles on a feature wall in your living or dining room that you want to stand out. Use a solid color tile to create a border and a unique pattern in the middle to create a permanent work of art.
Design a tile mural on a feature wall or above a mantel
Have you always loved the look of mural walls? You can create your own custom design that will last for as long as you want it to, with beautiful concrete wall tiles in a variety of colors, patterns, and stylistic influences.
Tile a wall or front entry way with a crest or monogram
Customize your home with your family’s one-of-a-kind crest, emblem, or monogram made with wall concrete tiles. Give guests a grand welcome to your home this way, at the front gate or the foyer.
